Vintage wood carved fisherman and raincoat on pedestal; signed. Vermont?

Description

The carving features a large old man with white beard, eyebrows smiling with yellow cap and long yellow raincoat. He looks like the Gorton fisherman. In black long boots, hands in pockets on wood pedestal. Good condition; no breaks or splitting in wood. He has nicks in places due to age and use. Some nicks in bends of his arms near hand and some near his hands in pocket. Left arm wear and right upper arm, etc... Nicks near right bottom of raincoat near folds. The base has nicks in places and wear; more in the corners or at the cut like ends. See all pics and some nicks and wear on back of coat. There may be other spots but mentioned most. Sold AS FOUND. Signed underneath in incised cut, It says below signature vt which may stand for Vermont. Surface dirt and some soiling in crevices. Measures 11.75" X 3.25" X 3".
