Swedish Dala Horses are perhaps the most recognizable horse in the
world and have a wonderful history and story behind their creation.
Handpainted by artisans, each horse was carved by hand
and in times past these beautiful horses were even used as currency!
Today, they are used as centerpieces and still given to children
as toys.  This example has been well loved and played with by children
which makes its spirit a "happy home" horse.
