There are only a limited number of tanned musk ox skins available for sale at any time.
The skin is a long dense coat of coarse dark brown guard hairs over a paler underfur.
We were the supplier for the muskox hides used in the movie 10,000 B.C.

Hair length: Varies from 1" - 20" long.
Product of Canada. A U.S. Fish & Wildlife permit is required for shipments outside of the United States.
Genus and species: Ovibos moschatus. Wild.
Musk ox are not endangered. There are about 100,000 roaming around northern Canada. The musk ox are protected by a quota. Each year, hunters are allowed to hunt about 600 animals, but only take about 400 per year. Many of the animals are eaten and the hide is a by-product of a subsistence life style.
We do not buy, sell, trade, or barter any products that are listed on the U.S. Endangered Species List.
We are licensed by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service as an importer and exporter of wildlife products and have been since 1997.  We are experts at this business. As a commercial exporter, we cannot ship any regulated wildlife items outside of the United States without first obtaining a U.S. Fish & Wildlife export permit and a CITES export permit where required. Consequently, we do not ship wildlife products regulated by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to customers outside of the U.S. customs zone.
