    A Saint Patrick's Day staple, horse shoes have long been associated with good fortune/luck, although there's an ongoing debate over the proper way to use them when attempting to attract this good fortune.
    The controversy is about the proper direction to nail a horseshoe over a door, legs up or legs pointed down?
    Some people say you should hang the horseshoe with the ends, the heels pointing up, so the good luck it brings won't drain out.
