n the artist, Annette Himstedt's, own words, "Marlie" is a chirpy little six or seven year old girl from Germany."
She is an original vinyl, soft body, limited edition Annette Himstedt Puppen Kind which stands approximately 23 inches and has blue eyes and long ginger ponytails of human hair, tied with white silk bows.
She wears a pale green high quality linen dress embroidered with white silk ribbons and bows, and a pink flower at the neckline.
Marlie wears long woolen socks and exclusively manufactured white leather lace-up boots which the artist has monogrammed on the soles.
The artist's monogram or initials are also engraved on each limb segment.
Marlie wears a silver year bracelet for the year in which her production was limited, 1996.
Marlie's arms are attached by means of a special joint, "Spezialgelenk" which enables her to hold a pose in many positions. This joint was a Himstedt innovation in 1996.
